Check your airport before you pack
Liquid and laptop rules at security now differ between airports. See what yours officially says, and what travelers experienced.
Standard X-ray lanes: liquids and laptops usually come out, in trays of their own.
CT scanner lanes: where the airport allows it, laptop and liquids can stay in your bag.
Airports replace scanners lane by lane and set their own rules, so two checkpoints can differ.
Verified airport guides
Checked against each airport's own pages. Open an airport for terminals, exceptions and sources.
Two kinds of information, never mixed
Each airport page shows what the airport says and what travelers experienced separately, so you always know which one you're reading.
Official guidance Verified
Checked by us against the airport's own pages, with the source and the date we checked. Where we haven't verified something, or sources disagree, we say so instead of guessing.
Traveler experiences
Anonymous reports from the last 30 days about what security asked people to do. Counted and dated, and never treated as a rule.
Whatever you read here, staff instructions at the checkpoint always come first.
Flew in the last 7 days?
Tell the next traveler what security asked you to do. It takes about 10 seconds, with no account.
Questions
Is Airportly official?
No. Airportly is independent and not affiliated with any airport, airline or authority. We link to the official sources so you can check them yourself.
How do you check the information?
We read the airport's own pages and the regulators' pages ourselves, then record the source and the date. Nothing is shown as official guidance until it has been checked.
What happens to my report?
It appears anonymously as one traveler's experience, counted with others from the last 30 days. A private note, if you add one, is read only by us and deleted after 90 days.
What if the checkpoint tells me something different?
Follow the staff. Procedures can vary by terminal, lane and equipment, and the instructions on the day always take precedence.
